- Assess your application for the position you have applied for within Lumley
- Assess your suitability for other positions within Lumley
- Conduct personal reference checks
What happens if you choose not to provide the information?
You are not obliged to provide us with your personal information. However, if you choose not to provide us with your personal details, we may not be able to fully assess you for a role at Lumley.
What personal information do we hold?
We hold the following personal information for recruitment purposes:
- Your name
- Your date of birth
- Your address
- Career history
- References
- Results of abilities and/or other testing
How do we collect your personal information?
We collect personal information directly from you wherever possible, via an online application form, by email, by telephone or face-to-face interview. However, some personal information may be collected from other parties such as referees, health professionals, police or security checks if appropriate, academic institutions and, if appropriate, psychological assessment results.
We will not collect your personal information from any other third party without your prior knowledge or consent.
Disclosure of your personal information
For recruitment purposes, it may be necessary to disclose your personal information to:
- Former employer or employers
- The police
- Academic institutions
- Professional membership organisations
- Our service providers (e.g. organisations that conduct screening testing services for us)
- Our insurer/s
- All other reasonable parties that will assist us to place you in appropriate employment
Storage
Lumley will take all reasonable steps to protect the security of the personal information that we hold. This includes appropriate measures to protect electronic materials and materials stored and generated in hard copy.
Access to your personal information
Lumley will make available to you the personal information that has been collected about you. In most circumstances, we will comply with your request. Requests for access to or correction of your personal information should be made in writing to:
